Yeeeeehhhhhhhhhaaaaawwwwww!!!
Hello to all, just wanted to brag a bit....
Andrew belongs to an Odyssey of the Mind Team after school at Alex Hope Elementary. They competed in the BC finals this past Saturday. He is part of 7 kids from grades 2 to 5 from our school. The planning and prep all has to be done by the kids. Their long term problem is called "a scene from above" The kids have written the script, a song, made the set and the props, made 3 vehicles, pulled together the costumes. All of it has to fit very specific point scoring criteria. They also practice each week in something called "spontaneous problems". They compete in division 1. and... They won the Gold medal for BC for their Division. This entitles them to compete at the World Finals at Iowa state university at the end of may ! We are so proud of him. Its been a great group for him to be part of. http://www.odysseyofthemind.com/

We are hoping to go to the Worlds. its a matter of fundraising - with only 6 weeks to go. Look for us in the local Langley paper.

We are now selling cookie dough - pails are $9 the make 4 - 5 dozen gourmet cookies, there are 12 flavours. email or phone if you are interested.
We will also be selling bedding plants and hanging baskets in time for mothers day. We are also planning a "_____- a - thon" - don't know what of yet. and a garage sale and hotdog days at school and a bottle drive.

As well the adults are looking to find corporate (or rich individuals) to donate to us. If you know of anyone, please , please let me know and I will pass it on to the right person on our group. I can get a promo package with our beg-for-money letter out quickly. Cheers to all ! Mona & Scott Robertson
