EXPLORATIONS
Pacific Coast Taekwondo Martial Arts Schools

Ms.Bose with D.Park groupThe Explorations Program exists to provide Douglas Park Community School children in grades 4 - 7 with opportunities to discover talents, strengths, and interests that each might like to pursue as life long learners. The Explorations Program offers a variety of activities that students have selected, to experience in a supervised setting provided by a community specialist in partnership with staff. Together the volunteer-staff teams ensure that the students are exposed to quality learning opportunities that enable them to continue their chosen activities over time. Activities are taught in 3 nine week semesters, from 1-2:30, on Wednesday afternoons, within various school spaces or in this case at Pacific Coast Taekwondo's facility. Volunteers and staff are oriented together and work as a team. - D.P.C.S. Douglas Park Web link

"I'd like to say how honored I feel to be part of this program and how great all of these kids are. I'd also like to thank my son James (below, viewers far left) for assisting and Mr. Dave Peck, Vice Principal of D.P.C.S. for his interest, support and patience as a past volunteer. I must salute Ms. Wendy Johnson for her unwavering strength as past Principal and Ms. Ann Morrison as project consultant and director. As of 9/2002 Ms. Marilynne Waithman has taken position as Principal and I look forward to interacting with her. Ms. Krista Bose is now our primary 'Liason' and it's a true pleasure working with her." ~ Daniel Witt, Master Instructor & President - Pacific Coast Taekwondo Martial Arts Est. 1988
